I have something lovely to show you today! Silk Ribbon Embroidery by the talented Lucie Duguay from Lévis in eastern Quebec, Canada. Lucie sent me some pictures of her lovely creation and I asked Lucie to write a little about herself and her embroidery journey. This was her reply:
“My retirement is a rebirth. I live as if I were 6 years old and not 60. I explore everything related to embroidery. Give me a needle or a crochet de Lunéville, some silk threads or ribbons and I’m in heaven.
My latest discovery: silk ribbon embroidery. I chose Di van Niekerk from @ dicraft_embroidery as my teacher. High-quality ribbons with wonderful colours, attention to detail and great experience characterise her kits.
Here are some photos of “Wish you were here” I made last winter.
Have a nice day, Di!”
and here are some close-ups
Don’t you just love her roses?
The Agapanthus leaves below are almost real!
I would so love to be sitting under that grape vine!
Thank you, Lucie, for sharing your talent with all of us and enjoy your weekend Stitching World ♥
