Greetings, Stitching World, from a cool but sunny Cape Town. I hope you are all safe and well and finding time to embroider. It’s what has kept many of us going these past few months and that’s why I think that embroiderers don’t mind staying at home as much as others do with lockdown. I have been busy working on my new website and I hope you will like it. It’s taken a long time to find the expertise to help me to transfer all the many products and more than a decade’s worth of blog posts and tutorials from the old antiquated site to this lovely new and easy-to-navigate website and I have John Blomkamp from Creative South to thank. He is an amazingly gifted developer and for this I am grateful.

About the New Website
There are two parts to the website. The shop (blue part) where all the products are kept and the blog (pink part) where the posts and tutorials are kept and both have translate facilities. When you are in the shop part, you can choose your currency. Let me know if you would like to add a currency that is not there yet. When you check out, it will be in US Dollars (USD), the default currency. For South Africans, you will be able to pay in Rands (ZAR) if you check out via PayFast or if you choose to do an EFT.
In the shop and the blog, there are dropdown lists to choose categories and some of the categories have their dropdown lists too. For example, hover over Box Full of Lessons to open another dropdown list of choices or if you prefer not to use drop- down menus, click on Box Full of Lessons (or Books or Ribbons) to be taken to the page with all the categories.
My ribbons are easier to order now as you can choose the width, the colour and then the quantity that you want. There is a flat shipping rate for the international courier (we use DHL and they are excellent) so no matter how much you order, it is a flat rate of USD 12.50. For local deliveries, it is a flat rate of USD 7 no matter the weight of your parcel.
The links and the downloads were carried across from the old website, but some may need adjusting. If you find anything not working properly or if there is an image missing, please, email me.
Because it is a new website, you need to register again on the shop (blue) part of the website. Press on My Account at the top of the page or the user icon on your phone. You can also add to your shopping cart and when you checkout, you can tick the option to open an account and an email will be sent to you with the details.
To be kept up to date with my newsletters and latest specials and releases, you are welcome to subscribe here. If you have subscribed in the past, you will receive confirmation of this when you try to subscribe.
