Exquisite masterpiece by Ludmila from Chisinau in Moldova
Hello, I hope you are well and happy! The seasons are a changing and soon it will be warm again... or cool for us in the Southern Hemisphere.

Don't you love it when the seasons are about to change? There is something exciting about it and even the little creatures living in the forests and gardens seem to be eager for the new season to arrive.
We hiked to the Spes Bona Forest on Saturday and saw a little mongoose. He followed us through the forest as if to say "don't go, please stay and chat for a while" So Wilsia left him some almonds for his dinner. The King Proteas we saw in the wild were as large as dinner plates. It's a magical time of the year in Cape Town. Not too hot, not too cold. Just perfect.

This time of the year is a busy one for creative people too. Everyone seems to find that extra burst of energy for a new project.
Many of you have written to say how much you are enjoying your embroidery and as a treat I have some gorgeous new embroidered pieces to share with you. Don't you love this collage of pictures of a beautiful piece by Tanya Yalaguzyan from Kiev in the Ukraine? May it brighten up your day and inspire you to start on your very own creation. If you too would like to have this kit, it is available here.

Note: Don't forget about the fabulous Bonus Hamper which you will receive with every order above R950.00 (approximately US$ 90)!

♫♬♪ Our exchange rate is incredibly helpful to anyone living outside South Africa... 10 Rand costs less than 1 US$! When you place an order, you will find an updated feature to see the price in your own currency.

The old and the new
The endearing Sarah Kay range will be discontinued on 31 March 2014, as my license to print them will expire. Hopefully you will see this message in time and if you were planning to make some of these quaint pieces, now is the time to place your order before they are no longer available.
I am busy licensing the most beautiful designs you can imagine by an Australian artist, Jill Kirstein and I will introduce them to you in the next few months as soon as they are ready... so you see, as needle crafters, we don't have the time to grow old for we still have so much to do!

Soon we will be packing for BATB in Australia. It's going to be a fabulous opportunity for you to meet up with fellow embroiderers and teachers from all over the world! I look forward to seeing you there. For more information click here.
