Anti-fray agent:
A water-based, clear anti-fray agent is used on ribbon and stumpwork shapes to prevent fraying.
This kind of anti-fray is available from your nearest machine embroidery shop or haberdashery store under different brand names.
For international orders, we may not ship liquids, so instead, we include sheets of water-soluble fabric with instructions on how to make your own anti-fray.
Note: In the workshops at Koala Conventions in Brisbane, I noticed that their anti-fray agent was very thick and that it made the petals of the roses too stiff. The anti-fray agent that we use is water-based, whereas theirs was solvent-based. Do lookout for the water-based anti-fray which has the same likeness to water and check that it dries clear.
