The Dreamscapes Competition
The Dreamscapes competition has ended and I cannot begin to explain the beauty of the entries that I have seen. I am so pleased that I do not have
to be a judge…it is going to be a very difficult task for them to choose from the hundreds of photographs that I have received from all over the world.
Thank you so much to everyone that entered, for your love and dedication to Silk Ribbon Embroidery. I salute every one of you that entered and I am
holding all my thumbs (and toes) for you.
The judges are:
Helen Eriksson — the doyenne of SRE, from Australia
Anna Scott — of Inspirations Magazine, Australia
Karen Fraser — well-known SRE artist from California, USA
Emma Kriegler — famous for her SRE in South Africa
Sharon Calverley — from Stitches Magazine South Africa
Elza Bester DeJager — a skilled SR Embroiderer from South Africa
Hazel Blomkamp — a renowned needle-artist and designer South Africa
|
The judges will receive a DVD with all of the images entered in the competition. Each person's folder will be numbered — no names,
no countries, no identification. This way, the judging will be impartial and on merit only.
Good luck everybody — I wish every one of you could win
The winners will be announced in my newsletter towards the end of August 2011.

My new Roses book is on the way — not long to wait now. Today I received the advance copy.... and the testers? A crowd of university students here to watch
the rugby, and their verdict? "Awesome!" Ha-ha, did I tell you they were all young guys?
I hope that you will also like this book
There are 16 very special roses in this rose sampler and you could make a rose for your own special project — crazy quilting, fibre art, card making or
