Newsletter May/June 2011
Hi from a sunny and cool Cape Town. I hope you enjoyed your long weekend and that you managed to rest for a while.
My new Roses book is at the printers and it will arrive by ship between 13 and 20 June…not long to wait now! I am very
proud of this book and you will learn many, many new and interesting techniques.
There are 16 very special roses in this panel, and you could use what you learn in this sampler to make your own individual roses
for a unique project. Whether it be for crazy quilting, fibre art, card making or fashionable accessories — roses are suitable for
every occasion!

Embellish a hat, a knitted bag or crochet scarf, a beaded necklace, the lid of a jewellery box or that most special outfit
of all — a wedding dress! The rose sampler in this book is a beauty and you will have so much fun with this one.
I must thank you for all your encouragement and support for this book – you have no idea how, even the smallest bit of
reassuring feedback, helps with the positive energy which is so essential to keep one going and going, until the very end!
Our stockists throughout the world are busy ordering the requirements such as the ribbons and the printed panel for the
Roses book, so do feel free to
contact your nearest store
to order yours today. This will avoid a huge bottle neck in June and July whilst I am away in Australia, where I will
launch the new Roses book at
Koala Conventions in Brisbane.
I look forward to meeting you all in the Brisbane workshops and I will bring the Roses sampler with me for you to see it in
real life -
see workshop 82
for the Roses workshop.
Note:
The first print run of this book is in
HARDCOVER so don’t miss out on this opportunity – order your book in time!

Good luck to all of those who are entering the international Dreamscapes silk
ribbon competition! You are welcome to start
sending
your photographs now if you are ready.
Remember to add your name and address details and the country where you are from. Do check
with me that I have received your photographs, if you do not receive a reply from me. The deadline is midnight (South African time)
on 31 May 2011.
To read the rules about the competition, click here.
Hint: stretching your piece onto a wooden frame before photography will result
in a far better finish. Do not frame your piece behind glass yet, in case you are one of the winners. The winners will be asked to
send their pieces to Cape Town and glass may break and damage your piece. If you have any questions, please feel free to
email me at: di@dicraft.co.za and I will gladly assist.
Don’t forget about our lovely
bonus hampers which you will receive with every order over R700.00 (approximately US$105) These have been very popular!

AND
With every order that you place on our website today, you will receive a link to download this lovely
FREE design for your collection!
Download and print the design onto fabric and embroider it, make a cover for a trinket box or a journal, sew it
onto a small tote bag, create a gorgeous card … whatever takes your fancy. Enjoy!
