A Beautiful Landscape in Silk Ribbon Embroidery

by Joyce Solichin from Jakarta in Indonesia.

Before we start, one question for you. Would you like me to teach you how to make the lovely fluffy tree in the picture below?
.
Go to Facebook   or  Instagram to answer there.
.
Please tell me
  1. whether you would like to learn how to make the fluffy tree below
  2. and where you are from.  I'm always interested to know where you are messaging from!
.
Joyce Solichin, a gifted embroiderer from Jakarta, used the stitches and techniques that I teach in my Box Full of Lessons 1 and she did this so beautifully! I just love her work. The lesson I wrote step-by-step with the complete beginner in mind and the more advanced embroiderer will also enjoy this lovely project!
It is available in kit format for those who are wanting to learn how.

I will break the design up into 2 pieces so you can see clearly what she did.
The first section is above. She used my ribbons for this piece and the beautiful Chameleon and Rajmahal threads. I just love this scene and will never tire of it! The colours and the textures are divine.

The second section is below. Don't you love the Agapanthus and Hibiscus?

.
I love the pinks and blues. And the Agapanthus leaves look so real!

Joyce was kind enough to share her talent with all of us and I wrote to her to ask about her journey in silk ribbon embroidery.
Joyce replied:

"I hope everyone at Dicraft is well and healthy.

I came to know about ribbon embroidery through YouTube and I fell in love with it. I tried a few simple designs, and I truly enjoyed them. While searching for silk embroidery kits on Pinterest, I stumbled upon your designs at Dicraft. I was mesmerised looking at all your designs. They are so beautiful, and I bought many of your embroidery panels with complete threads and ribbons. Now, I am glad that I bought all those panels since some of them are not available anymore.

Making your embroidery, it’s pure enjoyment. The process to complete each section gave so much satisfaction since the colour combinations of your ribbons are so pretty, they make the designs come alive!"

Thank you, Joyce, for sharing your talent with all of us!

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
Love
Di
