♥ Hi everybody! I have something gorgeous to inspire you today! A beautiful piece by Julia Bernat who lives near Moscow in the city of Balashikha. Don’t you think this is lovely? The background and the colours are striking, don’t you think?
I saw Julia’s piece on Instagram and so I wrote to her to ask whether I could share her lovely work and to write a little about herself…
She replied “I am very pleased that you paid attention to my work. The first time I met with embroidery ribbons on the Internet, I by chance saw the work of masters, I began to study this issue in more detail and found your books. I bought your books, found them on the Internet, printed them on a colour printer, filed them in folders, read them and looked at your works.
From these moments my hobby for ribbons began. I took several lessons on embroidery with ribbons and our craftswomen. I am 40 years old, I am married, have a daughter who is 16 years old. I live near Moscow in the city of Balashikha. I have a dog, two cats and frogs. I love animals very much. I work in a state organization related to veterinary medicine. I spend the weekend at home with my family, I like to travel. And of course, in my free time I embroider.”
Thank you, Julia Bernat, for sharing your talent with us and looking forward to seeing more of your lovely work.
This weekend I will show you the Royal Mug entries. They are all beautiful! Stay safe everyone and happy stitching!
