Gorgeous stumpwork trinket boxes
Hello everybody ♥
Hope you are having a good week. Today I have beautiful stumpwork to show you by Margott Jenek from Regensburg, in the south of Germany. Margaret (or Margott, as she is known) is originally from Poland and she loves stitching, especially dimensional embroidery and cross stitch.
Don’t you just love her trinket box?
And here is another from close-up.
Stumpwork or dimensional embroidery is created by making the shapes on a separate piece of fabric and then these are cut out and applied onto the design to form life-like petals and leaves. Margott has a wonderful talent. Here are more examples of her work…
And…
And don't you love her ribbon embroidery?
Here is more inspiration for you...
and this one too. Hope these gorgeous pieces have brightened up your week :)
Thank you so much Margott ♥ for sharing with us — I look forward to seeing more of your creations in the future.
To update you on the competition, the judges are busy, busy going through all the entries.
Shhhh….they need more time to do their best :)
Enjoy the rest of your week. We are having hot weather in Cape Town and I send you our warm African Sunshine to all the cold embroiderers in the world.
I will keep in touch with the news about the competition.
Take care
Love
Di
