Sling | Clutch bag - Roses on Felted Wool and Silk

Good afternoon stitching world ^•^   I have a new concept to show you today which may inspire you to make a lovely gift for yourself or for that special person in your life... a lustrous sling | clutch bag with silk roses on felted wool and silk.   Click on the image to enlarge     Clutch-bag-DivanNiekerk1     Textile Artist_Felting   This bag is one of the projects in our new book, titled " The art of felting and silk ribbon embroidery" by Di van Niekerk with Toody Cassidy.     It was such fun to make! The handle was crocheted with mercerized cotton and then silk ribbon was woven throughout to create a very interesting effect.   You will learn how to make wild medallion roses with silk ribbon and how to make dimensional leaves and a rose bud.    Click on the images to enlarge   Clutch-bag-DivanNiekerk2     Read more about the book here.       Clutch-bag-DivanNiekerk     What do you think of this bag?   I would LOVE to see what you create with felt and silk ribbon! Please email me your pictures to di@dicraft.com and I will share on my blog in the months to come.   *¨*•♫♪ღ Look out for my next few blogs as I have some good news about beautiful new garden scenes that we will launch next month.
