Blog > Some beautiful pieces by Inessa Sviderska

Hello! I have not blogged for a while as I have been working on a brand-new website and I will tell you all about it in my June Newsletter. Today I have some beautiful work to show you by Inessa Sviderska. Born in Ukraine, she now lives with her family in Batumi, a Black Sea resort and port city in Georgia.

I saw Inessa’s work and asked her to send me some photos of her pieces and I am so pleased that I did! Have a look. Don’t you think it’s a beauty?

I asked Inessa to write a little about herself and this is what she wrote: “The passion for embroidery came to me 7 years ago when I became an eager internet user. I learned a lot through videos and online materials - with that, my love for handcraft grew stronger.
The first ribbons and frameworks of mine came from China then in 2014 I discovered Di van Niekerk's books and works, which I gradually mastered. That same year, I bought my first embroidery kit from her website - "Bench in the Garden". I am very grateful for silk ribbons in her kits (there's always more of them than you actually need!).
During these 7 years, I embroidered more than 40 needlework pieces which decorate my home or become treasured presents for my friends and family. I'd like to wish everybody, in the first place Di van Niekerk, success and prosperity in what you love to do!”

This lovely piece is available in kit form and you will find more information  about the WH06 kit on this page: https://shop.dicraft.com/product/wh06-the-curtain-embroidery-kit/

And have a look at her beautiful “Children Fishing” design! I just love it.

This is one of our most popular kits “Box of Lessons 10-Girl Reaching

Don’t you just love this little girl?

Thank you, Inessa, for sharing your wonderful talent and my question to all of you is, did this inspire you today? I will be showing more of Inessa’s lovely work so do subscribe here for my newsletters.

Until next time, happy stitching and I hope that your embroidery is helping you to stay safe!

Love

Di van Niekerk
